The Impact of COVID-19 on Consumer Consumption Trends




The novel coronavirus has thrown everyday life into turmoil and greatly changed product consumption trends. The government declared a state of emergency on April 7th, calling on the public to take actions including staying home. The declaration was fully revoked on May 25th. The following is a ranking of products which sold well in the stay home period, and those which were not selling as before. Figures are ratios of estimated sales values for April 20th through 26th, compared to the preceding year.
